“BUT I Know You Can…”

“BUT I Know You Can…”

Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if only you had been here, my brother would not have died. BUT even now I know that God will give you whatever you ask.” (John 11:21-22)

Martha was expressing her belief that despite Lazarus’s death, Jesus could still ask God and receive a favorable response, potentially reviving her brother.

No matter the situation; no matter how desperate it seems; nothing is FINAL in the hands of the living God. There is always a BUT.

The enemy will whisper in our ears and try to defeat us with lies, instead of saying “if, what if” we can say BUT.

The lesson to take from this is to understand a new use and definition for the word BUT:

Believe
Understand
Trust

BUT a divine definition that means – God CAN and God WILL!

Though “but” often carries a negative implication, in relation to faith it can represent an opportunity for victory and restoration.
