“I am with you,” declares the LORD.

The simplest, most important, and profound phrase we can hear in our lives is, “I am with you,” declares the LORD. (Haggai:1:13)

What does it take to rebuild your life? It’s knowing that God is with you. When you’re unsure of God’s presence, you may find yourself hesitant to move forward in the things God calls you to do and be.

We often look at our circumstances and ourselves and think, “I can’t do this. It is too hard.” But it’s God’s promise of “I am with you” that makes all things possible.

We are most at risk of doubting God’s presence when we have failed or when our lives have fallen apart due to our own choices. We may think that God is done with us or that He has left us and is disgusted with our failures.

What we need to hear in those moments is God’s reassurance: “I am with you.”
