What Is God Trying To Teach Me?

When you are in pain, God is not trying to teach you a lesson. He is not a judge punishing you for something you did wrong. He hasn’t broken any deals with you.

Let me assure you, when you suffer, God suffers with you.

Psalm 34:18 “God is near to the brokenhearted.”

It may not seem that way at first, but God is there. So don’t ask, “What is God trying to teach me through my suffering?” Ask instead, “How can I come near to God when it hurts?”

That’s the important question.
